Title of the Position : PROFESSOR
Department : PLANNING
(A) ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture / Planning / Engineering / Technology AND a Master’s Degree in Planning with First Class or equivalent either in Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree AND Ph.D or equivalent in the discipline.
Master’s in Economics / Sociology/ Geography AND a Master’s Degree in Planning with First Class or equivalent in BOTH the two Master’s Degrees AND Ph.D or equivalent in the discipline.
Where, for the above:
(a)Equivalence of First Class is a minimum of 60% in aggregate, if a class or division is not awarded.
(b)Equivalence for Ph.D is having minimum publication of 05 (five) international journal papers, each journal having a cumulative impact index of not less than 2.0, with candidate as the main author with certification for impact index value.
For Candidates from Industry or Profession, the Essential Qualification shall be:
i. First Class Master’s Degree in Planning or related discipline, and
ii.Significant professional work which can be recognized* as equivalent to a Ph.D degree in appropriate branch.
*The recognition for significant professional work equivalent to Ph.D degree shall be valid only either if the same is recommended unanimously by a 3-member committee of Experts appointed by the Director, OR if candidate fulfils clause (b) subject to recommendation.
(B) ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
Either a minimum of TEN (10) years experience in teaching and/or research and/or industry of which at least FIVE (05) years should be at the level of Associate Professor; OR a minimum of THIRTEEN (13) years’ experience in teaching and/or research and/or industry. Where,
i.In the case of research experience, good academic record and books/research paper publications/IPR/patents record shall be required as deemed fit by the expert members of the Selection Committee.
ii.If the case of experience in industry is considered, the same shall be at managerial level equivalent to Associate Professor with active participation record in devising / designing, planning, executing, analyzing, quality control, innovating, training, technical books / research paper publications / IPR / patents etc. as deemed fit by the expert members of the Selection Committee.
(C) DESIRABLE:
i. Teaching, research, industrial and/or professional experience in a reputed organization.
ii.Published work, such as research papers, patents filed / obtained, books and/or technical reports.
iii. Experience of guiding the project work / dissertation of PG / Research students or
supervising R&D projects in industry.
iv.Demonstrated leadership in planning and organising academic, research, industrial and/or professional activities.
v. Capacity to undertake/lead sponsored R&D, consultancy and related activities.
Title of the Position : ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
Department : PLANNING
(A) ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture / Planning / Engineering / Technology AND a Master’s Degree in Planning with First Class or equivalent either in Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree AND Ph.D or equivalent in the discipline.

(C) DESIRABLE:
i. Teaching, research, industrial and/or professional experience in a reputed organisation.
ii.Published work, such as research papers, patents filed/obtained, books, and/or technical reports.
iii. Experience of guiding the project work/dissertation of PG/Research students or supervising
R&D projects in industry.
iv.Demonstrated leadership in planning and organizing academic, research, industrial and./or professional activities.
v.Capacity to undertake/lead sponsored R&D, consultancy and related activities.
Title of the Position : ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
Department : PLANNING
(A) ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture / Planning / Technology / Engineering AND Master’s Degree in
Planning with First Class or equivalent either in Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree.
Master’s Degree in Economics / Geography / Sociology AND Master’s Degree in Planning with First
Class or equivalent in BOTH Masters degrees.
Where, for the above:
i.Equivalence of First Class is a minimum of 60% in aggregate, if a class or division is not awarded.
DESIRABLE:
i.ONE (01) year experience in teaching and/or research and/or industry in a reputed organization;
ii. Papers presented at Conferences and/or in refereed journals.
Title of the Position : PROFESSOR
Department : ARCHITECTURE
(A) ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree in Architecture AND Masters Degree in Architecture or related discipline with First Class or equivalent either in Bachelors or Masters Degree AND Ph.D or equivalent in the discipline.
Specialization – Engineering:
Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology (Civil/Structural/Mechanical or allied disciplines) with First Class or equivalent either in Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree AND Ph.D or equivalent in the discipline.
Specialization – Fine Arts:
Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Fine Arts with specialization in painting, sculpture, applied art or art history & art criticism, with First Class or equivalent either in Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree AND Ph.D or equivalent in the discipline.
Where, for the above:
(a)Equivalence of First Class is a minimum of 60% in aggregate, if a class or division is not awarded.
(b)Equivalence for Ph.D is having minimum publication of 05 (five) international journal papers, each journal having a cumulative impact index of not less than 2.0, with

Title of the Position : ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1.Candidates may fill the applications through online from our website www.spav.ac.in along with fee payment receipt.
2.The pay and allowances for the posts advertised will be as per the 7th CPC scales applicable to Central Government employees and carry other allowances like House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance and Children’s Educational Allowance a n d e l i g i b l e f o r other benefits like Medical, LTC etc., as per Govt of India Rules issued from time to time and as applicable for SPA, Vijayawada.
3.These positions are governed by New Pension S c h e m e o f G o I a p p l i c a b l e w . e . f . 0 1 . 01 . 2 0 0 4 .
4.The Faculty selected for the above posts will be governed by the CCS Conduct Rules, CCS CCA Rules, other Rules and Regulations issued by the GoI from time to time and as per the SPA Act 2014 and SPA Statutes 2016.
5.The Institute reserves the right to increase or decrease the No. of posts or not to make any recruitment to any post/s, to shortlist candidates for interview and to accept or reject any application without assigning any reason.
6.The prescribed essential qualifications / experience indicated are bare minimum and mere possession of the same will not entitle the candidates to be called for written test / interview. When number of applications received towards an advertisement is large, the Institute may restrict the number of candidates to be called for written test / interview on the basis of merit or qualification higher than that of minimum prescribed in the advertisement or by conducting test. The candidates should therefore furnish details of all qualifications and experience possessed in the relevant field over and above the minimum qualifications prescribed along with documentary evidences.
7. The qualifications prescribed should have been obtained from recognized Universities/ Institutions.
UG and PG qualifications obtained from foreign degrees must be supported with foreign degree Equivalence Certificate from All India Universities, Min of Education, Govt. of India. The decision of the Committee constituted by SPAV for equivalence of Ph.D. shall be final.
8.Reservation for SC / ST / OBC-NCL / PwD/EWS etc., will be as per Govt. of India norms against the reserved vacancies only. The benefit shall be given on submission of relevant certificates in the format prescribed by Govt. of India. Incomplete application in the particular category will not be considered.
The candidates who are not in the Central list of OBC under creamy layer shall not apply for the post(s) reserved for OBC and if at any stage, it is found that the OBC certificate is not valid, the candidature / appointment shall be terminated with immediate effect.
9. Persons serving in Govt./Semi-government / PSU / Autonomous bodies / Govt. funded Institutions
/ Universities are required to upload “No Objection Certificate” from their present employer. They are required to produce “No Objection Certificate” at the time of interview, without which his/her candidature will not be considered.
10. No TA & Accommodation will be provided for attending the written test and interviews.
11. No interim queries / correspondence will be entertained. Canvassing in any form and / or bringing any influence, political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the post applied for.
12. Self-Attested copies of certificates, mark sheets, testimonials etc., are to be uploaded alongwith the application w.r.t their age, experience and educational qualifications. Incomplete applications and not accompanied by supporting certificates / documents along with payment receipt/ after the last date will be summarily rejected. The original documents will be verified at the time of Interview/written examination.
13.Candidates applying for the positions, in the Dept. of Architecture should be registered with
Council of Architecture and produce a copy of the certificate with validity.
14.Candidates applying for more than one post are required to submit the application alongwith supporting documents and make remittance fee separately each time.
15. The qualification and experience will be reckoned as on the last date of receipt of application as given in the advertisement.

2) SC/ST/PwD/Women are exempted from payment of application fee.
3) Application fee needs to be paid online through SBI collect; the payment shall be accepted through online mode SB Collect (https://www.onlinesbi.com/sbicollect/icollecthome.htm). The reference number should be filled in the application form along with the copy of the receipt.
